Love to Cook? Register Now for Fall Classes at The Academy of Culinary Arts

If you’ve always loved to cook or are ready to start a new career, there is still time to register for fall classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College. Financial aid and scholarships are available. ACA classes begin Monday, Aug. 25.

New culinary students should contact Valerie Weller at (609) 343-4944 or Judy DeSalvo at 343-5624 to schedule a registration appointment.

The Academy offers associate degree programs in culinary arts, baking and pastry, and food service management, and short-term specialization certificates in hot foods, baking and pastry, food service management and catering.

ACA students have many opportunities to gain hands-on experience, including the Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala, Iron Student Chef Competition, American Culinary Federation’s Junior Chefs Competition, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs dinner, Atlantic Cape’s Organic Greenhouse, American Vegan Society dinners, Strudels Bakeshop, Culinary Student Association, Baking & Pastry Club and food shows.

Full-time classes meet five hours a day, Monday through Friday, in morning, afternoon or evening sessions at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.
