Atlantic Cape Hosts Veterans Gratitude and Resources Fair; Receives Seven Seals Award
April 16, 2014
Atlantic Cape Community College held a Veterans Gratitude and Resources Fair, April 15, on its Mays Landing Campus. In spite of bad weather, the event was well-attended and showcased many vendors and resources that are available to veterans.
Featured keynote speaker and Atlantic Cape alumnus Assemblyman Robert Andrzejczak shared his story of combat and courage with the attendants and educated them on resources and services he has used as a veteran.
Donna Clementoni, director of employer outreach for the New Jersey Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, presented Atlantic Cape’s Veterans Advisory Committee with the Sevens Seals Award. This award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by the Employer Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and is awarded to employers, ESGR staff members and volunteers, or any person or entity that significantly advances the ESGR mission.
Assistance services included in the fair were Military OneSource, Heartland Hospice, New Jersey State Police and the Philadelphia Region Department of Veterans Affairs to name a few. Food was provided by Atlantic Cape’s Academy of Culinary Arts.
