Atlantic Cape Offers Digital Desktop Design Workshops this Spring and Summer

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer a variety of digital desktop design workshops for individuals interested in enhancing their skill sets and advancing their careers. Save 10 percent off the cost of taking classes individually by registering for the entire series. Classes will include two levels of Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Illustrator CS6.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Suite will educate participants on the software needed to create their own graphic designs and advertisements, 12 Saturdays, May 3-Aug. 2.

Adobe Photoshop CS6, Part 1 will teach attendants how to modify and combine scanned photographs to create realistic composite images, use painting tools and blending modes, perform adjustments to contrast and color balance, and use layers and filters to create special effects, three Saturdays, May 3-17.

Adobe Photoshop CS6, Part 2 will educate students on how to isolate image areas by creating and saving masks with specialized tools, commands, modes and layer elements and how to use vector paths, create and apply gradients, patterns and overlays, three Saturdays, May 31-June 14.

Adobe Illustrator CS6, Part 1 will explore the basics of designing and editing illustrations for printed copy and Web graphics, three Saturdays, June 21-July12.

Adobe Illustrator CS6, Part 2 will teach participants how to use the pen tool to draw paths as well as how to select and edit paths, add and alter text, work with layers, work with fills and colors with the swatch libraries, develop gradients, and use object transparency, three Saturdays, July 19-Aug. 2.

Adobe InDesign CS6 will educate attendants on the basics of creating documents with InDesign, importing text and graphics, formatting, working with frames, typography, color, tables and more, three Saturdays, Aug. 9-23.
