Atlantic Cape’s College Relations Team Captures Six Awards

Atlantic Cape Community College’s public relations and marketing efforts captured six awards in regional contests this fall.
Atlantic Cape received two Medallion Awards at the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations District I Conference in Mystic, Conn. The awards include: Gold for Communications Success Story and Bronze for College Promotional Video.
The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations District I also awarded Chelsea Pizzi, public relations and social media specialist, the inaugural Rising Star Award for her achievements, creativity and potential for future success in the field of communication.
The Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association recognized Atlantic Cape with Gold Jaspers for Special Events Planning/Special Events Series and Digital/Mobile Media-Mobile Website Consumer.
The Public Relations Society of America—Philadelphia Chapter awarded Atlantic Cape with a Pepperpot for Development or Fundraising.
Major projects that garnered success this year include: the 2013 Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala, Academy of Culinary Arts television advertisement and the mobile-friendly responsive design of the Atlantic Cape website www.atlantic.edu.
Award-winning College Relations staff members include: Michael Bruckler of Smithville, director of College Relations; Mike Capen of Bellmawr, graphic artist; Stacey Clapp of Mays Landing, public relations and publications senior manager; Joe D’Agostino of Linwood, senior manager of web systems and marketing; and Chelsea Pizzi of Pitman, public relations and social media specialist. Kathy Corbalis APR of Mays Landing, former executive director of College Relations, also contributed to the winning projects.
