Reserve Your Seat for ‘Fall Harvest Dinner’ at Careme’s
November 13, 2013
Careme’s, the student-run, gourmet restaurant at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Academy of Culinary Arts, will celebrate autumn with a three-course Fall Harvest Dinner Special for $19.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity), through Nov. 25.
Under the direction of Chef Steven Cozzi, ACA students will prepare an a la carte menu featuring appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and desserts. Fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables harvested from Atlantic Cape’s Organic Greenhouse and Herb Garden will offer patrons a farm-to-table experience. ACA’s student-chefs also make all desserts, breads and rolls. Tableside cooking may be offered.
Careme’s, located at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, offers a fine dining experience that’s unique in South Jersey. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday, August-December and January-May, when classes are in session. Guests are seated for dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. For reservations, call (609) 343-4940.
The restaurant is named after the first “celebrity chef” in culinary history, Marie-Antoine Careme. Careme’s command of culinary art was so famous in the early 19th century that he became known as “the chef of kings and the king of chefs.”
The ACA has been training future chefs and food service professionals for more than 30 years. For more information about the Academy, visit www.atlantic.edu/aca.
