Atlantic Cape to Offer Health Care Career Training Programs

The Health Professions Institute at Atlantic Cape Community College will offer a variety of programs this fall to train individuals interested in a health care career.
Certified Nurse Aide is a great way to start a career in the health care profession. CNAs will be eligible for employment in a long-term care facility, assisted living facility, adult medical day care or some hospitals. Two sections beginning Oct. 1 and Nov. 1, will be offered.
ICD-10 Medical Coding—Transition will help transition experienced coders to the new ICD-10 system. Classes begin Oct. 10.
ICD-10 Medical Coding will train professionals with no previous coding experience to learn the new ICD-10 system. Classes begin Oct. 14.
CPR Recertification will provide professionals with the most current CPR information, procedures and an opportunity to refresh skills, Nov. 6 and 7.
Medical Assistant will equip students with the training needed to perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties in the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors and other health care facilities. Classes begin Jan. 6.
Lecture and lab modules will take place at the Health Professions Institute at Atlantic Cape’s Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd. Clinical expertise will come from various hospital settings.
