Careme’s Restaurant to Open for Dinner Sept. 20; Features Three-Course Special

Careme’s, the student-run, gourmet restaurant at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Academy of Culinary Arts, will open for dinner on Friday, Sept. 20.

A three-course dinner special for $19.99 per person (plus tax and gratuity) will be offered weeknights until Thursday, Oct. 10.

Careme’s a la carte menu features appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and desserts. Fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables harvested from Atlantic Cape’s Organic Greenhouse and Herb Garden offer patrons a farm-to-table experience. ACA’s student-chefs also make all dessert pastries, breads and rolls. Tableside cooking may be offered.

Careme’s, located at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, offers a fine dining experience that’s unique in South Jersey. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday, August-December and January-May, when classes are in session. Guests are seated for dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. For reservations, call (609) 343-4940.

The restaurant is named after the first “celebrity chef” in culinary history, Marie-Antoine Careme. Careme’s command of culinary art was so famous in the early 19th century that he became known as “the chef of kings and the king of chefs.”
