Rutgers to Expand Degree Programs to ACCC’s Mays Landing Campus
July 27, 2006Beginning this September, local residents can pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees through Rutgers University at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Mays Landing Campus. The partnership between ACCC and Rutgers allows students to continue their education while staying close to home.
Rutgers will offer an undergraduate degree in liberal studies and graduate courses in education at the Mays Landing Campus. Rutgers will expand courses it already offers in Mays Landing and at its Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Center toward its master’s of business administration and bachelor’s in hospitality management.
All courses will be held during evenings in order to accommodate working professionals and will be taught by Rutgers’ world-class faculty.
“ACCC is very excited about the opportunity to expand our baccalaureate partnership with Rutgers University and welcome them to our Mays Landing Campus,” said Dr. Peter L. Mora, ACCC President. “This is an expansion of a very successful program we’ve had with Rutgers at our Worthington Atlantic City Center for more than five years. It gives our local residents the opportunity to earn a Rutgers degree right in their own back yard.”
There will be a ceremonial signing of an agreement with Dr. Mora and Dr. Richard McCormick, Rutgers University President, Aug. 30.
