Atlantic Cape Will Offer Career Training in Geospatial Technology this Fall

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer Geospatial Technician Certification, a new training program in one of the fastest growing career fields in the United States this fall.
Geospatial Technician Certification will meet 6-9 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Oct. 7, at the Mays Landing Campus, Building T, 5100 Black Horse Pike.
The course follows the STARS curriculum series, designed to teach and assess a student’s level of competence in the geospatial skill set required by the geospatial industry to become employed in the field.
With a15 percent growth in new jobs projected over the next decade, this course is designed for professionals working in Homeland Security, law enforcement, economic development, land developers, land surveyors, military science, engineering, public safety, real estate, municipality professionals, GIS/RS-related professionals, and anyone interested in entering the geospatial field.
