ACCC to Hold Three Office Careers Events
July 5, 2006Atlantic Cape Community College will hold open houses for those interested in learning more about careers, education and certifications in office systems technology this summer, including:
• Area office professionals and prospective office professionals can join an open International Association of Office Professionals (IAAP) meeting at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 13, in Cafeteria B, Building C, at ACCC’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike. A presentation called “Certify Your Professionalism” will discuss information on the Certified Professional Secretaries exam, related courses, and the FAA Technical Center’s Chapter of IAAP.
• An Office Systems Technology Program Open House will be held 6:30-8 p.m., Monday, July 24, at the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House.
• An Office Systems Technology Program Open House will be held 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Room B-129.
ACCC offers online courses, certificate programs and an associate’s degree in office systems technology to help meet the demand for qualified and capable workers to fill thousands of corporate and government openings for administrative office professionals.
The office systems technology program is offered on a full- or part-time basis, with classes available online and in person. The program provides the necessary training for graduates to work in an administrative office environment, including business, government or nonprofit organizations. Specifically, the coursework includes keyboarding, word processing, computer technology and applications, multimedia applications, administrative management, records and information management, effective communications and human relations.
