GRADUATION SUCCESS STORY: Atlantic Cape’s Student Government President To Attend Pre-Med School this Fall

May 16, 2013

Atlantic Cape’s Student Government President Bryan Dufresne of Woodbine will graduate with more than his associate degree in biology on May 23—he will graduate with an unstoppable drive to become the person he’s always wanted to be.

“This upcoming graduation means that I can accomplish what I set my mind to—it is the first of many stepping stones in my life,” Dufresne said.

This summer, Dufresne will intern at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City before attending a pre-medical program at The School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, N.Y.

“I hope to graduate from medical school to become an oncologist or emergency medicine specialist,” he said.

Dufresne has been an active member of Atlantic Cape’s student body—he was involved in the Asian Student Alliance, Environmental Club and held several positions in the Student Government Association, which have prepared him for his bright future as a medical doctor.

“Atlantic Cape has allowed me to become a better public speaker and an all-around better leader and team player,” Dufresne said.
