Atlantic Cape Offers Six Summer Sessions in 2013

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer a variety of credit courses this summer to accommodate a range of lifestyles. Whether you’re a current student, recent high school graduate or attending a four-year college and home for the summer, you can earn credits toward your degree during Atlantic Cape’s six summer sessions.

Registration hours are weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours to 6:30 p.m., April 15-18 and April 22. Registration begins:

  • April 15 for students with at least 48 credits
  • April 16 for students with at least 32 credits
  • April 17 for students with at least 17 credits
  • April 18 and 19 for returning students
  • April 22 for all students (open registration)

Some classes include: Art Appreciation, College Algebra, Composition I, Composition II, Criminal Law, Earth Science, Elementary Spanish I, Fundamental English Grammar, General Psychology, Intro to Computers, Principles of Sociology, Public Speaking, Restaurant Operations, Student Success Seminar and U.S. History II.

The first session is six weeks, May 28 to July 3; the second session is eight weeks, July 1-Aug. 22; and the third session is six-weeks July 15 to Aug. 22. In addition, two accelerated 11-day sessions begin May 28 and June 17, and a full session meets May 28-Aug. 22. Fall semester classes begin Sept. 3.

Financial aid is available to eligible students. Students can visit www.atlantic.edu/finaid to apply.

For students who wish to continue their studies beyond the associate degree, Atlantic Cape offers dual admission programs with The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Rutgers and Fairleigh Dickinson universities.

With locations close to home, students can start at Atlantic Cape and finish at Stockton, Rutgers or Fairleigh Dickinson. Atlantic Cape’s associate degree also is transferable upon acceptance at all public four-year colleges in New Jersey and the college has more than 35 articulation/transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities across the country.

Classes will be held at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike; the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd.; the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House; and online.
