Sensational Soul Cruisers and FM Band to Perform at 30th Anniversary Restaurant Gala

February 19, 2013

The Sensational Soul Cruisers, a New Jersey favorite, and Philadelphia-based FM Band will entertain nearly 1,000 guests at the 30th Anniversary Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 14, at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino.

The Sensational Soul Cruisers, who energized the dance floor during the 2012 Restaurant Gala, feature four soulful vocalists who pay homage to performers like Otis Redding, Barry White, the Commodores and more. The Soul Cruisers, who will be located in the Grand Ballroom, will entertain guests with several costume changes and traditional show band choreography.

The FM Band will make their Restaurant Gala debut in the Ocean Ballroom at the 2013 event. This high-energy band has entertained the tri-state region with seven decades of music that spans the FM dial.

The Ocean City Pops will perform during the Gala cocktail reception in the Traymore Ballroom and pianist Lenny Mitchell will entertain guests as they meander through the “Dessert Extravaganza,” located in the atrium.

With the theme, “Celebrate the 30 kNights,” the Gala promises to be the region’s premier fundraiser, and will feature Camelot-inspired decor, ice sculptures and a sumptuous feast.

The annual progressive dining experience celebrates food by highlighting spectacular hors d’oeuvres prepared by Academy of Culinary Arts students and showcasing the specialties of more than 50 of the best restaurants in South Jersey and Philadelphia.

The event has raised nearly $3 million for scholarships since 1984. All Gala proceeds benefit student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College and Atlantic Cape Foundation operations.
