Careme's Restaurant to Open for Spring Semester Jan. 23

Careme’s, the student-run, gourmet restaurant at the Academy of Culinary Arts, will open for the spring semester on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Careme’s is located at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.
Under the direction of a chef educator, culinary students will prepare lunch and dinner buffets for $14.95 per person through Monday, Feb. 11.
ACA’s student-chefs also make all dessert pastries, breads and rolls. Tableside cooking may be offered.
Careme’s is open Monday-Friday, September-December and January-May, when classes are in session. Guests are seated for lunch and dinner at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. For reservations, call (609) 343-4940.
The restaurant is named after the first “celebrity chef” in culinary history, Marie-Antoine Careme. Careme’s command of culinary art was so famous in the early 19th century that he became known as “the chef of kings and the king of chefs.”
