Atlantic Cape Community College received five Medallion awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations at the group’s annual District 1 Conference this month in Pittsburgh.
The college’s new mobile-friendly website received a Gold in the Website category. Silvers were awarded in these categories: Communication Success Story for media coverage received for The Atlantic Cape Restaurant Gala; One-Time Special Event, publicity on the Academy of Culinary Arts’ 30th Anniversary; and Fundraising/Annual Campaign, communication materials for the Create Opportunity Major Gifts Campaign. A photo taken at Atlantic Cape’s 2012 graduation captured a Bronze award in the Original Photography category.
College Relations submitted the entries and staffers Kathy Corbalis, APR, of Mays Landing, Stacey Clapp of Mays Landing, and Mike Bruckler of Galloway accepted the awards. They also served as presenters at the two-day conference, with Clapp and Corbalis speaking on “Using Social Media in a Crisis” and Bruckler talking about the college’s participation in the Career Focus consortium.
Other department staffers whose work was represented in the entries include: Mike Capen of Bellmawr, Joe D’Agostino of Linwood, and Chelsea Pizzi of Pitman. Resource Development staff members Maria Kellett of Wildwood and Jennifer Martucci of Egg Harbor Township created portions of the winning fundraising entry.
