Atlantic Cape Reopens After Bomb Threat; Arrest Made in Incident

Atlantic Cape Community College closed its campuses in Mays Landing, Atlantic City and Cape May Court House at noon, Tuesday, Sept. 4, due to a bomb threat.
Tuesday morning college personnel intercepted a threat to blow up Atlantic Cape Community College. The threat did not specify which campus. College security was notified and contacted Hamilton Township Police, who recommended the college close its campuses so law enforcement authorities could search all three campuses.
At that time, the college evacuated all three campuses. Following a search by local law enforcement, the college has announced it will reopen its Mays Landing and Cape May County campuses for classes at 5 p.m. today. The Worthington Atlantic City Campus will reopen Wednesday, Sept. 5.
