Cedarwater Painters Exhibit at ACCC through Aug. 2
May 31, 2006Paintings by the Cedarwater Painters, eight women who meet weekly in Atlantic County to paint, exchange ideas and critique their work, are on exhibit through Aug. 2 at the Atlantic Cape Community College Art Gallery.
The Cedarwater Painters are not novices. Each is an exhibitor and has had art school or workshop training. A free, public reception to meet the artists will be held at the gallery on Friday, June 2, from 4:30-7 p.m.
According to the group’s Web page, http://venus.atlantic.edu/cheryl/cwpainters/index.htm, its mission is to “create a nurturing environment for creativity…” and to “pursue opportunities to exhibit so others may see the results of our very enriching relationship.”
The painters are Judi Crescenzo of Mays Landing, Diane Griffith of Vineland, Mary Ann Kline of Egg Harbor Township, Cheryl Knowles-Harrigan of Milmay, Dorothy Lodovico of Mays Landing, Rita Michalenko of Mays Landing, Bonnie Rand of Hammonton, and Cathie Skinner of Mays Landing.
The gallery is adjacent to the theater in C-building (C-125), parking lot #3 on ACCC’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike. Gallery hours can be obtained by calling (609) 343-5040 (press 1).
