Explore Savory and Sweet Flavors this Fall at the Academy of Culinary Arts

The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College will offer amateur chefs and food enthusiasts alike the opportunity to learn a variety of cuisines and cooking styles through an assortment of culinary workshops this fall. All classes feature demonstration, tasting and class participation.

Learn how to prepare three- and four-course dinners from around the world without leaving South Jersey in the “An Evening in...” series with ACA adjunct instructor Chef Jon Davies of Cape May. Classes include:

  • An Evening in Normandy, Sept. 11
  • An Evening in Santa Fe, Oct. 2
  • An Evening in Indonesia, Nov. 13
  • An Evening in the Land of Incas, Dec. 4
  • La Vigilia, with a Sicilian Flair, Dec. 18

The ACA will also offer a series for those interested in preparing desserts in “Baking and Pastry with Chef D’Angelo,” with ACA alumna Chef Mary Lou D’Angelo ’85 of Ventnor. Classes include:

  • Gluten-Free Desserts, Sept. 12
  • Sugar-Free Desserts, Oct. 3
  • Italian Pastries, Oct. 17
  • Low Calorie, Low Carb, Nov. 7
  • Breads and Rolls, Dec. 4 and 5
  • Italian Cookies, Dec. 12
