ACCC Offers Culinary Workshops in June
May 30, 2006Two culinary workshops centered on preparing summer meals for outdoor living are scheduled for June in the training kitchens of Atlantic Cape Community College’s Academy of Culinary Arts.
“Secrets to a Successful Summer Barbecue” will teach participants how to choose, prepare and grill foods without suffering flavor-robbing flare-ups. Adding color via accompaniments from the summer garden is also on the menu. This workshop will take place from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, June 6.
“Hot & Cold Hors d’Oeuvres 101,” an introduction to making simple appetizers for that gathering on the patio, is scheduled for 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, June 28. Participants will learn to prepare tasty starters like chicken quesadillas and spring rolls from leftovers and how to dress up ordinary items with sauces and condiments.
Both workshops will take place at the ACA on ACCC’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike. The fee for each workshop is $49. To register, or for additional information, call (609) 343-4829 or (609) 463-4774, ext 4829, or visit www.atlantic.edu/conted.
