Atlantic Cape, Stockton Sign Dual Degree Program Articulation Agreement

July 26, 2012

Atlantic Cape Community College and The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey signed a Dual Degree Program articulation agreement, today, July 26, in the Grand Hall at Stockton’s Campus Center. The program offers local students an affordable option for earning their associate and bachelor’s degrees.

The Dual Degree Program agreement simplifies the transfer and admission process into Stockton. Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree from Atlantic Cape as well as a bachelor’s degree from Stockton in their chosen program of study. Program participants who complete an Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree at Atlantic Cape will be guaranteed admission to Stockton as juniors with no loss of credit up to a maximum of 64 credits.

Currently enrolled Atlantic Cape students who have not applied to Stockton as first-year applicants are also eligible for consideration in this program by submitting a DDP form along with their transfer application.

The cost-effective program allows students to pay the Atlantic Cape tuition rate for all or part of their lower division coursework and pay the senior public tuition rate once they transition to Stockton.

“The Dual Degree Program Articulation Agreement between Atlantic Cape and The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey is an innovative and cost-effective alternative pathway to education. The agreement creates an opportunity for students residing in Atlantic and Cape May counties to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Stockton College, and is another example of the successful collaboration between Atlantic Cape and Stockton,” Dr. Peter L. Mora, Atlantic Cape president, said.

Dual Degree Program highlights include:

·      Provides Atlantic Cape students guaranteed admission and a seamless transfer with no loss of credits to Stockton College, the number one college to which Atlantic Cape students transfer

·      Allows Atlantic Cape students a considerable savings on tuition and fee costs over the first two years of their education; transfer students will have their Stockton application fee waived

·      Students who participate earn two valuable degrees—the associate and the bachelor’s

The Dual Degree Program will begin Sept. 1. For additional information, contact Atlantic Cape’s Admissions Office at 609-343-5000, 609-625-1111 ext. 5000 or
