College Offers Six New Degree Programs this Fall

Beginning this fall, Atlantic Cape Community College will offer students more than 50 career and transfer associate degree options with the addition of six new degree programs in the areas of aviation, education and technology.
Aviation Studies—Students will learn airport management, aviation business administration, professional pilot, air traffic control and air transportation management.
Computer Applications Option—Courses in the computer applications degree option in Office Systems Technology will serve students seeking jobs that require application software skills, but may not be interested in transferring to a four-year school. Emphasis is placed on word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations software.
Elementary/Middle School Education Option—The elementary/middle school education Liberal Arts degree option is designed as a transfer program for students interested in earning Elementary and Middle School Certification with Specialization.
Pre-Aerospace Engineering—Designed to educate students to meet the challenge of engineering in an ever-changing world, the degree provides students the foundation to transfer to a baccalaureate program in aerospace engineering.
Professional Pilot Option—This Aviation Studies degree option prepares students for a Federal Aviation Administration license as a commercial pilot with an instrument rating, and for transfer to a baccalaureate program.
Secondary Education Option—Designed as a transfer program for students interested in Secondary Education Certification, this Liberal Arts degree option maximizes transfer of credits and academic status to a professional teacher education program.
In addition, Atlantic Cape will offer iPhone Programmer as part of its short-term Professional Series this fall. The series provides students the opportunity to learn how to design, build and test applications for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch mobile devices.
