Atlantic Cape to Offer Personal Enrichment Classes this Fall

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer a variety of personal enrichment workshops in November and December.
Defensive Driving participants will learn how to avoid collisions, recognize common driving hazards and react appropriately. Successful completion of this course entitles participants to the benefits of point reductions and insurance discounts, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 16-17.
It’s Almost Spring: Are you ready?, gardening enthusiasts will learn about plants indigenous to South Jersey, when to plant, how to mix perennials with annuals and how to mulch. Participants should bring a list of plants from their garden, a calendar and garden gloves, 9-11 a.m., Dec. 2 and 9, and Jan. 21 and 27.
Warm and Cool-Watercolor Drama with Two Colors, workshops’ favorite Jim McFarlane will teach participants advanced watercolor techniques, including: dramatic use of two sets of complementary colors—orange and blue and yellow and violet—as they pertain to the landscape. This course is open for adults 18 and older, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19.
Figure Drawing, students will learn how to draw the life model using pencil, charcoal and some wet media, from expert draftsman Buddy Jacobs, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3.
Personal enrichment classes are offered at the Mays Landing and Mays Landing East Campuses, 5100 Black Horse Pike; and the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, in Cape May Court House.
