Academy of Culinary Arts Announces 15th Annual Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Celebration
November 2, 2011
At one minute past midnight on the third Thursday of each November, more than one million cases of Beaujolais Nouveau, the newest wine from the Beaujolais region of France, begin a journey to all parts of the world.
Wine enthusiasts can celebrate the release of several nouveau wines at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College. In conjunction with the local chapter of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the Academy offers a limited number of tickets to this celebration where guests will be treated to authentic French country food and tantalizing desserts prepared and served by ACA students.
Beaujolais Nouveau is a fun, uncomplicated red wine meant to be enjoyed soon after bottling. Several varieties will be available for tasting.
Proceeds support student scholarships. Past events have raised more than $65,000 in scholarships for culinary students. The cost of the celebration is $60 per person. For reservations, contact Kelly Connor at (609) 340-4552 or email@example.com.
The ACA has been training future chefs since 1981, and is celebrating 30 years of culinary achievement this year. For more information on the Academy, call 1-800-645‑CHEF, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.atlantic.edu/aca.
