ACA to Honor Dr. John Mahoney at Sept. 28 Wine and Cheese Event

The Academy of Culinary Arts will honor Dr. John Mahoney of Milmay, international certified wine educator, at a wine and cheese pairing reception, as part of the ACA’s 30th anniversary celebration, 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Careme’s Restaurant, M-building, 5100 Black Horse Pike, in Mays Landing.
The Academy invites the community to attend the wine and cheese event, which will feature a pairing presentation with food and beverage expert Dr. Lynn Hoffman of Philadelphia, and former ACA student Steve White, owner Seaside Cheese Company in West Cape May. Guests will have an opportunity to taste new and exciting flavors, while learning about international wines and a variety of cheeses, including: Applewood, Brie, Double Gloucester, Gorgonzola, Grana Padana, Morbier, Muenster, Pecorino, Ricotta, Tomme de Savoie and Wensleydale.
Guests will receive a commemorative 30th anniversary poster. As the guest of honor, Mahoney will be available for autographs.
