ACCC Sets Nursing, Health Career Information Sessions For Cape May County and Mays Landing Campuses
March 17, 2006Atlantic Cape Community College has scheduled free information sessions for those interested in a career in the health field.
The sessions on nursing are appropriate for high school seniors wanting to attend nursing school, current ACCC "pre-nursing" students enrolled in prerequisite courses, and for members of the public considering pursuing a degree in nursing.
The information sessions on planning for a career in health care will provide valuable tips for obtaining an associate degree at ACCC for becoming a respiratory therapist or registered nurse. Those interested in the field of radiology may benefit from ACCC courses prior to selection to a hospital-sponsored school of radiology and may continue studies at ACCC for an associate in science degree in health sciences after completion of the radiology certification.
Nursing program sessions will be held on Thursday, April 6, 5-6:30 p.m., in the cafeteria on the Mays Landing Campus; Tuesday, April 25, 5:30-7 p.m., in the faculty dining room at Mays Landing; and on Thursday, April 27, 5:30-6:30 p.m., as part of the ACCC Open House at ACCC's new Cape May County Campus.
Health career planning sessions are scheduled on Tuesday, March 28, 5:30-7 p.m., in the faculty dining room, Mays Landing; Thursday, April 27, 3:30-4:45 p.m., as part of an Open House, CMCC (room TBA); and on Monday, May 15, 6-7:30 p.m., faculty dining room, Mays Landing.
