Atlantic Cape's Club 60 Plus Offers Fun Classes for Active Seniors

Adults 60 and older have the chance to learn skills and have fun with Atlantic Cape Community College’s new Club 60 Plus programs.
The following workshops and seminars are designed specifically for active seniors:
Facebook & Twitter 101, 9 a.m.-noon, two Fridays beginning March 25, learn to connect with family and friends using the social networking tools Facebook and Twitter. Learn how to create an account, upload and organize pictures, search and invite friends and family and engage with others.
All in the Family: Genealogy for Beginners, 9 a.m.-noon, Friday, April 1, learn how to explore family roots with top-rated genealogy websites.
Exploring the World via the Internet for Seniors, 9 a.m.-noon, two Fridays beginning April 8, learn about a collection of computer networks and tools including using e-mail; sending digital pictures and greeting cards; searching for people and maps on the web; researching information about health issues, travel, shopping, coupons, movies, books, genealogy and senior organizations online.
Portraiture Class in the Four Earth Tones, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, April 16, Victoria Papale, a worldwide art exhibitor, will teach participants the correct proportions of the face in various positions and the method of applying and blending the four earth tones. A discussion about art history, followed by hands-on artwork with individual attention to critiquing is included.
Manage, Edit and E-mail your Photographs, 9 a.m.-noon, Friday, April 22, demonstrates how to move images from a digital camera to the computer; edit and resize pictures for use on the web, or to e-mail to family and friends. Bring a digital camera and a USB cable.
Register with a friend for Club 60 Plus programs and receive a 10 percent discount as part of the “Bring a Friend Program.” Bus trips are excluded, and some restrictions apply.
Courses take place at the Mays Landing East Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike and the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House.
