Time is Running Out to Buy Tickets for March 31 Restaurant Gala & 50/50 Raffle

Time is running out to buy your tickets to South Jersey’s premier black-tie fundraising event. The Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala’s 28th annual dining extravaganza is planned for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 31, at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino. With the theme “Putting on the Glitz: Eat, Drink and Be Dazzled,” the 2011 Gala will feature a Roaring Twenties theme, characterized by speakeasies, flappers and Art Deco style.
The annual event celebrates food with hors d’oeuvres prepared by students at the Academy of Culinary Arts and the house specialties of more than 35 of the area’s best restaurants at a progressive dining experience. Each year, hundreds of food lovers attend the Gala, which also features several genres of live music, including: The Don’t Call Me Francis Band, The Fabulous Grease Band, Ocean City Pops, and Lenny Mitchell.
Time is also running out to buy tickets for your chance to win up to $15,000 in the Gala 50/50 Raffle. Sponsored by the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation, raffle proceeds are used for grants, emergency aid, and leadership develoment for Atlantic Cape students. Three cash prizes will be awarded. The winning tickets will be drawn at the Gala. Winners need not be present to win.
Since 1984, the Gala has raised more than $2 million. Gala proceeds benefit student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape.
