Located on the Mays Landing main campus, our library owns more than 81,000 books, audiocassettes, videos, music CDs and art reproductions, as well as subscriptions to more than 300 periodicals. In addition, 12 computer workstations and 16 wireless laptops are available for student and faculty use in the library. Two professional (MLS) librarians and several library graduate assistants are available to provide assistance to students, faculty and staff. Staff members aid patrons in the use of the library.

You can search books by author, title, and subject via the Atlantic County Library's Online catalog, which is shared by both the college library and the countywide system. A collection of 4,700 digital electronic books (e-books) are also available via the library's Web site using netLibrary.

Resources and facilities are available to the college community and residents of Atlantic and Cape May counties. Students need a valid Atlantic Cape photo identification card to use the library. Identification cards may be obtained at the Student Life Center.

Child Care Center

Gateway Early Learning Center operates a child care facility on Atlantic Cape's Mays Landing Campus in J-building. The preschool is licensed to enroll children ages infant to 5 years old and is available to the community, Atlantic Cape students and staff. The center is open 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and provides diapers, formula and food for the children.

Teaching staff are qualified teachers, and assistants have received a Child Development Certification, as per the federal guidelines for the Head Start program.

The center uses the Creative Curriculum and includes an enclosed area for naptime for the younger children. Walls divide the center into age-appropriate classrooms, and there is a fenced-in outdoor playground.

The program is free to anyone who qualifies according to the New Jersey Family Income Guides. If a parent is income eligible, the Women's Center in Linwood will connect them to E/Child Care. This is a voucher program for low-income families.

For more information or rates, call the center at (609) 343-4949.
